Our Exciting Opportunity!

As a Head of Communications for Ericsson Malaysia, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh you will have the opportunity to craft Ericsson's narrative and engage a broad range of external and internal audiences in support of Ericsson's fastest-growing markets. This individual contributor role is for someone who is at the forefront of their profession, willing to both build and execute on the communications strategy, end-to-end. This role sits on the local leadership team, working with a range of local, regional, and global partners to position Ericsson across three markets.


  • Develop and execute the external relations and employee communications program to drive perceptions and enable sales for the assigned markets
  • Build, execute, supervise and evaluate the media relations and social media strategy
  • Act as a single point of contact for any communications related matters, including acting as a critical communications advisor to Head of Ericsson Malaysia, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh and the local leadership team
  • Implement global employee programs while activating local employee programs
  • Project lead on local events (e.g. all employee meetings; industry events, Ericsson-owned events) in collaboration with regional Marketing & Communication team members
  • Manage the local agencies (e.g. PR; Events) as required and
  • Support issues management in coordination with regional and global partners
To be successful in the role the requirements are:
  • University degree in Communications or equivalent training/experience
  • 10+ years of related experience and experience working in a global or regional team
  • Dynamic and fast-paced environment experience
  • Understanding of digital communications and ICT Knowledge
  • Malaysia Market insight and business acumen
  • News & social media aptitude
  • Relationship building and partner management
  • Project Management skills, Leadership skills, and Crisis Management
  • English and Malay language skills (spoken and written)
