Job Summary The Global Business Relationship Management (BRM) team works as a key strategic liaison between the Business and IT team. The IT BRM will partner with assigned business unit leaders to plan new joint initiatives, evaluate proposals, and determine how they fit into business and IT capability roadmaps and priorities. They will think strategically by identifying business opportunities and the best-suited position within the organization. They will also ensure delivery of IT solutions that generate business value and confirm that the results are measured and communicated MAJOR JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (List in order of importance) IT TO BUSINESS LIAISON & STRATEGIC ROAD MAPPING Liaise between assigned business units and IT communities to align the demands and priorities between these two groups. Owns 2 or more relationships at Director level. Act as the principal technology advisor for assigned business units. Engages other IT subject matter experts as needed. Contributes to solution advice. Coordinates engaging subject matter experts to drive decisions. Partner with relevant teams to develop technology enablement roadmaps Conduct at least quarterly reviews with assigned business partners covering accomplishments in previous quarter, work in queue, upcoming projects, and strategic roadmaps. SHAPE DEMAND Collaborate with assigned business units to identify and develop true business value opportunities, understand their priorities and influence the decision on priorities, road map and timing of initiatives/deliverables. Typically manages 2 to 4 small to medium sized discovery initiatives across 1 or 2 business partners. Partner with business and IT leaders to evaluate proposals, build business cases and plan new joint initiatives. Determine how they fit into business capability roadmaps and priorities. Contributes to proposal reviews. Owns building business case for small - medium efforts. Contributes to business case for larger efforts. Creates and maintains business capability and roadmap documents for assigned business units. Gather high level business requirements regarding new solutions and enhancements to existing solutions. Owns gathering and documenting high level requirements for small - medium efforts. Contributes to requirements on larger efforts. Coordinate and assist with project funding process on behalf of business partners. Collaborate with the Project Management Office on the intake process for candidate projects. For typical 2 to 4 small to medium sized discovery initiatives across 1 or 2 business partners - own entering demand into PMO intake site and updating as initiative progresses through discovery to funding to initiation. MEASURE IT EFFECTIVENESS Work with business and IT to ensure expectations and effectiveness of each team is understood and developed through mutually agreed KPIs Owns KPIs for assigned business units. Responsible for monthly updates back to IT group. Ensure business value from projects is understood and achieved through periodic follow-up and communication. For assigned 2 or more business relationships, in preparation for quarterly reviews assess implemented projects and measure value achievement where possible. QUALIFICATIONS (Education/Training, Experience and Certifications) Bachelor's degree in business or IT discipline 5+ years of IT and/or business experience SAP systems experience required Supply chain and manufacturing process and systems experience Compliance, quality, and regulatory process and systems experience preferred KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES (Those necessary to perform the job competently) Strong collaboration, teamwork and relationship building skills across multiple levels and functions in the organization Strong knowledge of common Business Solutions Strong communication skills spanning all levels of organization Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Strong self-motivation and strategic thinking Strong expectation setting abilities ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL EFFORT (Under Typical Positions) Typically works in an office environment with adequate lighting and ventilation and a normal range of temperature and noise level. Work assignments are diversified. Examples of past precedent are used to resolve work problems. New alternatives may be developed to resolve problems. A frequent volume of work and deadlines impose strain on routine basis.  Minimal physical effort is required.
